Along with the sights and sounds of floats and marching bands, Vallance says the parade is an opportunity to collect letters to Santa and to lend a helping hand to the community. “We'll be taking letters, food donations, and things of © such to give back to the community, and make sure the letters get up to Santa.” The Firefighters’ Association will also be on hand collecting donations to help fund the parade and to support the Annual Canada Day Fireworks display. In addition to the parade, happening on the same day in Downtown Acton will be Christmas markets at both the Acton Town Hall Centre and the Roxy Centre, where spectators of the parade can get a “The Opticians Behind the Church” office at 80 Mill Street East.
