Dawson received the award from former Burlington MP _ Bill Kemplingon Oct. 22. The award was presented to Dawson for his involvement with sports and community organizations. Dawson has been presi- dent of the Burlington Minor Hockey Association for four years and been involved with the association for 23 years. He has also been actively involved in baseball and soccer. In 1992, Dawson received the “Sportsman of the Year” award, from the City of Burlington. For the past three years, Dawson has been president of ADAPT - a Halton Region alcohol and drug addiction program, but sat on the board of directors for an additional two years.
