What could go wrong, did go wrong! Despite having no DJ» show up, running out of water during meal time anda few more minor catastrophes, the dance turned out to be a lot of fun! Gerry Burgan very kindly went home to get his equip- ment and then was DJ., along with Daryl D’Cruz. The cos- tumes were truly amazing! “Best Couple” was won by. Michael and Laurie Ann Wilde who came as Aliens. Dressed as a dragon and a slayer got Gerry and Sue Burgan - second. Jeremy Travis as a sleazy lady in red won “Best Male”, followed by Doug Pollard as Frankenstein. “Best Female” was won by Brenda Ransom, who came as very creepy. Igor. Dressed as a saloon girl, Michele Thompson won sec- ond prize. Daryl D’Cruz took the “Most Original” category dressed as Dr. Giggles. ‘The “Scariest” went to Paul Wright as a chain man, fol- lowed by Brian Ransom as the Grim Reaper. “Best Group” was won by “Men at Halloween da Work - Pegdon Construction”, consisting of Don and Jayne McMillan, ‘Lois and Charlie Landoni, Wendy Martin, Mike and Jeannette Wozniak, and Don and Anne Bassett. This group even brought a snow fence to enclose their table plus a wheel barrow and other tools. Dressed as KISS, Matt Royds, Mark Whiting, Lisa and Laura Sanderson came in second: Ursula Meyer of Erin’ won the door prize. There was a coloring con- test this year again that was won by table five.Bruno Carnelos did an outstanding job as bartender, as he was run off his feet all night. Thanks to: all the nice folks~ who helped out in the kitchen and tidying up after the dance. Al Attard Sr. and Dave Buckley did a super job cleaning up on Sunday. Oct. 28 euchre saw. eight tables., Pearl: Burt- won. High Ladies with a score of 98, fol- lowed by Liz Creighton, who got 84. It was a score of 89 for Earl McArthur that won him High Man’s, followed by Manley Dennsmore with a score of 85. Lovely sand- wiches were provided by Donna Lorriman and Helen Humphreys.
