York Rangers Wednesday, in Royal York’s home.arena. The Raiders have taken two out of their last three games, granted, both wins have: been against Royal York, but they all count. Once again, as has been the case the past few games, 4 \ Ian Ellis and. Doug Sheppard led the way in the Raiders-scoring parade. Ellis netted another. hat- trick along with two assists bringing his season totals to 44 points (24 goals and 20 assists). Sheppard had two goals and three assists on the night and now has 29 points (16 goals and 13 assists). The two teams played toa 2-2 tie in the first period before the Raiders broke out for four goals in both the second and third periods. Brent Ford and Randy Bond both scored twice while Kris Arro added a sin- gle. Raider goalie Paul Stinnett got the win. The Raiders are now 5-16 while Royal York is winless in 18 games. _Friday, the Raiders were in Oakville to play the Blades. Results weren’t available at press time. Bantam Hurricanes start to jell The Major Bantam AAA Halton Hurricanes, after a slow start to the season, are finally starting to jell, earn- ing a tie and victory in two out of the last three games. Five players have departed last year’s Hurricane team which made it to the final four in the OMHA playoffs before losing out to London. In a Nov. 17 game. at Tonelli Arena in Milton against Stoney Créek, they battled from behind to earn the tie. The Bantams found themselves down 1-0 after the first period before, Jason Fairclough slapped home a rebound from Jon Atley. Adam Bertoll who was called’ up from the Minor Bantams for the game, put the locals ahead 2-1 with a spin-around wrist shot on a pass from Fairclough. Stoney Creek evened it” up with 2:26 remaining in the second before David Sa’s shot from a sharp angle caught a corner for another lead. The visitors scored two more in the third before Doug Janjevich’s slapshot from the blue line squared the match finally at 4-4. Geoff Beauparlant was solid in goal, Against Burlington the next night, the Bantams played well for the first two periods but Burlington burned them in the third for a 7-2 loss.
