Aces usually take a little time to get going, then look out! This match was different - Aces took the first three sets for a good lead. Bandits won the next and lost the fifth - normal to this junc- ture. However, a mini comeback took place, with the next three sets going to Bandits to tie the match. This set up the final set for a win and Aces won the race for the closing double. Don LaForest had five starts for Aces and captain John Burke fired 140. Bruce MCartney opened three for Bandits and Mike Cherry opened with 96 for the lads. Single closes came for Alex Bowie, Harry Archer, Cherry and McCartney.
