I extend my congratulations to you on receiving this honor.” Ramautarsingh has served with distinction, over the years, with numerous local and provincial organiza- tions. He evaluated text books for the Ontario Ministry of Education. He has written articles on the Canadian Constitution, the School Boards and Teachers’ Negotiations Act, the Governor General of Canada and other important Canadians. He took time to submit a nine page type- written brief on Senate Reform. Ramautarsingh gave the feature address at the Canada-Grenada Education Conference in 1984. Presently, Ramautarsingh serves on the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce, the Ontario ‘Chamber of Commerce Education and Training Committee and the Council of Regents’ Prior Learning Assessment Advisory Group which deals with the 23 Ontario Community Colleges. Ramautarsingh said, “It is a great honor to be selected as a recipient of .the Commemorative Medal and Citation which celebrate Canada’s 125th Anniversary and the Queen of Canada’s 40th Anniversary on the Throne.” “Canada is a wonderful country of opportunity, growth and development and to serve in the various fields is nothing but a joy.
