Description
Gladys McCleary (later Gladys Speers) was a teacher at S.S. #8 , McCurdy's Corners School) during the 1930s. Gladys was to become the first woman inspector of schools in the district.

Halton named a public school after Gladys Speers to honour her years as a teacher, a school instructor and a trustee. Please use the links here to read about this honour.
