Description: St. Peter's Square is located in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, Rome. Seen in this photo is the impressive colonnades designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the 17th century that surround the square. Also visible is the Egyptian obelisk that lies in the centre of the elliptical plaza. Ed Langmuir took this photograph while vacationing in Italy.
