- Head and shoulders picture of lady wearing trimmed jacket and decorated lace blouse with high neck.

- Frances Bowes was the daughter of George Speer Bowes and Agnes A.Cobban. She married Mr. W. J. H. Richardson of Whitby in 1900. She was the mother of Harold Bowes Richardson. Photograph in cardboard folder on which is written "Mrs. Richardson, With the season's greetings, Dec. 1912". The writing of "Mrs. Richardson" is different to that of the greeting so one assumes that "Mrs. Richardson" was written in at a later date and it is the name of the subject of the photograph.
