- Probably a Hill (Acton and Peru) and Pearen (Milton) family connection. On the back of the photographs is written 'Mother in Grand Forks, Summer of 1927". Note from "Pearen Family History - Descendants of Joseph Pearen 1816-1898, Mary Ann Pearen (1845-1941) Mrs. Alexander R. Calder" - this history contains an almost identical photograph to the one above from which one assumes that the above is Mrs. Alexander R. Calder (nee Mary Ann Pearen).
