- The caption underneath the photograph reads "Miss Velma Smith's grade one class in 1931 is remembered in this photo loaned by Mrs. Les Wills. They are: Front row, Don McCannell, Jim McDougall, Eric Toletzka, unknown, Tom Symons, Bruno Corradetti, Leslie Wills, Robert Straub, Eric Merkley. Second row, Mary Johnson, Eileen Maskell, Irene Ball, Doreen Jamieson, unknown, unknown, Johnny Stover, Norman Straub, Dean Gray, John Stover, unknown. Third row, unknown, Maurice Wales, unknown, Irene Serafini, Mary Coradetti, Lena Stephenson, Marion Giddings, Barbara Nixon, Mary MacNab, Isabel Wilson, Alice Fetter, Archie McKinnon.
