"Looking Back" "The two longest-serving firefighters in 1966 sold tickets to a special draw for the August annual provincial vounteer firefighters' association convention held on August 13 at Milton Fair Grounds. Here, George Vaughan (left) and Alf Waldie sell a ticket to Lois Bird. Both men joined the force in 1929. Up to 700 volunteer firefighters were expected to attend the weekend-long event." (1988)
