- Hiram Clark Norton 1846-1919 was son of John 1812-1902 & Elizabeth 1819-1856 (Clark) Norton. Hiram worked as a farmhand in the summer and in logging cams in Quebec in the winter. He could cut a tree faster with an axe than two men with a crosscut saw. C. 1865
