Notes
In this interview, R. F. Hank Ford describes his experiences going into World War II and working as a pilot during the war. Hank entered the war in 1939 after marrying his girlfriend and then trained at St. Catharines, Ontario before going overseas to Europe. He describes at length certain flying techniques and the use of radio and his respect for the way in which veteran’s memorials are treated in the Netherlands. After the war, Hank returned to Canada and received a Bachelor’s of Agricultural Science from the University of Guelph. He has had one reunion with some of his former war chums since that time.
