Description
Postcard to Mrs. R.B. Layton, Medicine Hat, Alberta, mailed from Bedford, Nova Scotia. The photo is of Prince of Wales Tower, one of five constructed in Nova Scotia, which currently resides in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax. In the spring of 1796, with fear of the possible arrival of the French West Indies fleet, construction of the Martello Tower commenced by the British military. This particular tower is the last remaining tower of the original five and it was named a National Historic Site of Canada in 1943.

Reverse side reads:

Does this place look familiar at all? Having grand time. Haven't had a chance yet to look up many of the old land marks. Am enjoying the sea breezes. In Bedford now for a time but going back to Dartmouth.
