Postcard mailed to Miss E.M. Layton, Lacombe, Alberta, from her parents travelling by train from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Notes
Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) and his wife Mabel (nee Hubbard) (1857-1923) lived at their estate 3 km from Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, from the mid 1880s until their deaths. At the beginning they only summered there, but lived there year-round for their later years. As a child, Louise Layton (nee MacLeod) knew Mrs. Bell.
