FAMILY HISTORY The Esquesing Historical Society will host famed Ontario genealogist Brian Gilchrist at our September meeting. He will speak on Family History and its role in local history or Stories you'd rather your future in-laws not know until after the wedding! The meeting will begin at 7:30 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. Family history is a growing hobby and this is reflected in the growing number of inquiries the Society receives for information about family members who lived in this area. These letters and information supplied by genealogists find their way into the Genealogies section of the EHS Archives in the Georgetown branch of the Halton Hills Public Libraries. These files are stored in collection MG9 Al and can be requested from the librarian at the reference desk. The Society also accepts any family histories which you may wish to add to our collection.
