fearlessness as pure ques tions of late although affecting the most important political interests of the people of the dominion- and it can be confident ly claimed that the work will remove tha great amount of confustoo and absurdity that has gathered about the subject the book although a law treatise is popular ly written and will be not leas interesting to lay politicians and to other intelligent laymen iu canada than it will be to law yers the work contains about 200 pages of ordinary law report size type and in order to secure ita general sale throughout the dominion it will be relation the suit at present worn looked very well when new but it is now several years old and it is only through careful usage on the part of the members of the band that it is now at all presentable we are confident that our citizens feel that the band deserve great credit for their continual persever ance aud united efforts to deep in the front ranks among amateur bands aud that acton cornet band is eminently successful in their endeavor is most apparent by their invariable success whenever a contest takes place it is true the band is fairly well supported by our citizens but for a num ber of years they have asked for no special support and we consequently believe that all who are able are ready and willing to assist in procuring a new uniform for them we feel certain that the matter only re quires to be taken hold of by a few promi nent citizens to bring it to a successful issue by the ecnnlation of asubseriptioci list and the holding oi a few public enter- tainmenfs during the summer mouths we can foresee no trouble in raising 200 or 300 for this purpose aud the amount name would secure a vers- respectable uniform the band is in every way worthy of this evidence of appreciation of their efforts and we hope to see the matter in augurated in an enthusiastic manner so that the new suit maybe provided in time for the fall exhibitions and band tourna ments to be
