entrance at fairview ceme tery when four ar five hundred cluxcns and former residents joined in the brief service held at four o clock arrange ments were in the hands of acton womens institute and floral decorations at the entrance added much and were made possible by mr a h bishop councillor a mason was chairman in his operilng remarlca mr mason re called that it was aamc tchr years ago during years ago that the real turn for improvement at fairview cemetery had been made at that tlnu the council decided to name a cemetery board and vest in them the supcrvlalon of the cemetery three community spirited men had been selected messrs r m mcdonald c hansen and j bell and they had work ed continually wlttr the objedt before them of general improvement the land at the front had been securo and levelled by the board and the stone wall on the front erected then all was in readiness to erect the archway for which the acton institute had been so long planning mr mason paid trttmte to
