making fun a how gener ation took hold on friday when acton boys band in costume varied and grotesque struck up the band for a parade it was a slffnal for tho younssters to atve the door belts rest and follow the band many younssters and oldsters were in costume the treats asked for at the home were limited not by any desire on behalf of the householdefs but simply because treats werent procurable in any quantity in the stores before eight oclock we saw one youngster proudly exhibit her bag however and announce to a fond parent that she had had it full the handouts couldnt have been too meagre- at that following the parade the boys ofv the band with their friends and par ents held a social in the town hall there were games fun and dancing a plentiful lunch was served by the
