enfoy picnics but have some questions actoo park was crowded lait- sunday afternoon with happy pic nickers refreshed shimmers child ren playing and groups retting in the shade of the trees up and down acton quiet sun drenched streets many of the town residents sat peacefully in the gardens completely unaware of the attraction the town park was there 300 people were in the park at one time during the hot after noon with over 40 cars actonians mostly but many of them came from hamilton port credit burlington and new tor onto they leave towns and cities on the lakeshore jo drive to acton where the lovely park is one of the favorite picnic and fishing spots these hundreds of people prove acton has a popular drawing card in the shaded peninsula of lantf- which juts out into picturesque fairy lake the picnics and swimming arent the only attractions last sundty at least two pike of good size were hauled from the water one by d hamilton visitor and another by an acton boy these visitors although delighted w 1th the park s situation ask questions regularly of actonians and 4he local police where can i buy something to drink and a hot dog where are the v ashrooms are these buildings with the smashed boards the onlj place where we can change into our bathing milts couldnt some sand be put on the beach where do we put our waste paper and refuse after our lunch why isn t the wading pool opened yet some of the answers refer to past difficulties in operation of the park others will perhaps find satisfactory answers as the sum mer progresses escapes from barn before explosion h
