negotiate for the gas when mr seynuck could give him j prices and volumes and on the l condition that his company would have a market ifor the gas as well as exclusive rights to anthony gas i protest ing the safety of gas and wanted to know about uie company sup plying gas tri industry outside the town he explained that the coun cil wanted these outside firms to be supplied with the gas mr dut ton assured him that if the united suburban gas company did receive the contract for supplying gas to milton they would go to great ex pense to supply such firms as the motor company and the brick yards from that town the board then asked about the- application for an order to dispense with the vote of the electors georgetown agreed to declare that no vote would be held in that town on this franchise- for the un ited suburban gas company but informed the board that the elect ors would be voting on whether or not ttfioy arc in favor of natural gas no matter which company re ceived the contract jack armstrong mayor of georgetown appeared before the board to ask to dispense with the vote on the hal ton natural gas company bylaw in georgetown he said an error had been made at the georgetown hearing and added that the council wanted a vote on natural gas but did not want the electors to vote on the one company they simply wanted a general vote on natural gas he said and they now realized their error mr mcwilliams representing milton council said that it was their wish to dispense with the vote of the electors the ieorle would be voting on the arena ques tion and council
