mrs marlon montgomery formerly of the home economics service during the morning prognun each club member participated individ ually by judging a class of wouses class of costume charts nnd by selecting suitable blouse materials to harmoniic with given skirts the members own blouses charts and record feootajwerci also on display club exhibits shown after lunchoon each club partici pated in the program as a group club exhibits were shown on k well planned costume for church by ashgrove omagh and scotch block and i commented on by warilyn wrigglesworth joyce- robertson and sachi sanmiya certificates of achievement were also presented to girls completing two units a 4h homemaking club crest went to each new member and a silver teaspoon to each club mem ber club leaders for units as a fitting closing to the day each club leader and assistant received the gift of a house plant in recogni tion of her efforts club leaders for this unit were mrs hector bird and mrs vernon archer of which is bohvr held for the second successive year in the home of mr and mrs ed fish at snyders corners on thursday rooming last we learned that is had already registered so the spacious fish home will be well filled with a happy group as we pen this brief item the motto for this years interest ing program is learning to live mrs a r coulter assisted by clare burt former secretary of the on tario farm forums are the leaders in charge needless to add with these two dynamic personalities in charge the 1956 folk school will maintain its high standard of former years of agriculture office on occasion to compile n hat of halton farm organizations to our nmuteinvnt wo listed j5 nnd we may have over looked some we ure now begin ning to realize why so much of our time is taken up with meetings to file point where we find it impos sible to get out and make farm calls as we used to do one would hardly think that n little county like halton needed that many individual farm organiza tions and yet as we looked over the list it would take a wiser and brav er man than yours truly to suggest which ones should be eliminated wc couldnt help but wonder though if the multiplicity of farm organizations mightbe one of the reasons why in some organizations they seem to have increasing diffi culty in getting folk to accept office- bunny hare recalls stories of early days recently we
