spring cleanup posters 15000 fire prevention place mats for restaurants and hotels plus 15000 new century of fire- fighting place mats promot ing the centennial and fire safety 2000 new halloween safety posters and 20000 christmas tree safety tags the annual church parade held in oakville in october when 50 members marched to church to emphasize fire pre vention week 4lus a busier- thanever program for am member departments during fire prevention week a blitz inspection of com mercial buildings and schools in acton and georgetown in which insurance company ad justers assisted the local fire department inspectors the naming of two winners and five honorable mention contestants in the 10th annual grade 5 fire prevention poster competition and the honoring of the major winners at a ban the ottawa district was awarded a special recognition certificate a scrapbook ot lhebureaits activities compiled by their public relations officer jkoy downs was the basis of the bureaus entry in the compe tition the 158page scrapbook contained photos and press clippings of bureau activities welcome 150 to 67 reunion more than 150 past junior farmers and friends turned out to support the present halton junior farmers on the occasion of their reunion dance staged at the masonic hall just south of milton on saturday january 21 guests danced to the music of bill beatys orchestra from fergus during intermission musical selections were provided by the 1966 provincial girls tno champions joy hayward ruth and wilma mason eart burt who recently placed sec ond in the provincial music festival from halton gave three vocal selecnons the halton junior farmer choir sang a couple of numbers the choir also placed second in the competitions at the king edward hotel toronto refreshments were provided by the present members for the 12month period ending october 31 plus samples of the literature distributed through out halton county by the bur eau and member departments the award will be presented to the bureau in april at the annual meeting of the halton mutual aid firefighting ser vice by an official of the on tario fire marshals office halton county also had two other winners in
