games in theiamer part of the intermediate fockw achedule when each one becomes more important first practices for the tanners this season brought out so many candidates for positions it required an exercise of the imagination to picture them as anything but overloaded with talent they had players coming out their ears something like 25 signed players cards right from the start of the schedule however it was ap parent 29 players signed to cards werent 25 players turning out for practices and games after the first few contests coach fred kentner was for tunate if he had id players to throw over the boards in spite of this the tanners won more than their share of the games threatening even to take over the league lead at one stage ed footltt wasnt too alarmed many of the players who werent showing up had legitimate excuses there was shift work sickness holidays injuries to contend with christmas parties to attend and a variety of other reasons players used bd reasoned the new year would see an end to most of the abaenteeisra v other aaasoni when identical situations cleared eg with thaw this one to plague the team how ever bd didnt hesitate he started aa they say in the
