reeve of the township dear mr leslie it has been brought to my attention as per the accomp anying petition that the town of acton is desirous of institu- ting a town dump at the rear of mr campbells property on die land adjoining the fairview cemetery my displeasure may best be noted to the list of petition ers as i have affixed my signa- tnre to this list of concerned home owners rather than take up your time with a re petition of what has already been said and lies before you please be advised that i am in accordance with each and every point as owner and operator of the kelly nursing home may i fake this opportunity to thank each and every- member of the council for their help and kind words which have been beneficial in the success of the aforementioned nursing home i cannot help but feel that something as distasteful as a town dump would be de trimental to the business as well as distasteful to those re siding in the nursingrhome being no spring chicken mind you but young enough to be able to accept to change or to move should i feel the conditions warranted such ac tion i cannot say that your decision would effect my per son to the point where i would allow the results to become a predominant factor in my dis position in other words make my life miserable has the county council for gotten those who have given so much of their lives to make acton and the county of es- quesing what it is today mr w l hampshire one time reeve of esquesing mr j mc- donald wounded veteran of two world wars are only two of the many elderly who will suffer considerable wall along with other newspaper awards receiv ed throughout the years wish their parents to pass what may be their last day under a cloud of burning gar bage aefon has many assets but there is one point which i would like to expound fair- view cemetery we have all it one time or another lost some- one who is dear to us and though deatft can never be beautiful or a happy occasion do you not feel that the pain of such a sad occasion can be lessened when the deceased is laid to rest in actons very own utopia this cemetery is well planned and the immaculate care which it receives makes the revisiting of a grave a peaceful consoling experience it is now rat free will the council allow the building of a dump turn this su preme fekcitude into a rat in fested graveyard gentlemen we are now on the eve of our centennial year as a project which would benefit every man woman and child in this area why not build an incinerator on the east side of town if such is the case that this is not practi cal please do not forget the prevailing westerlies and build this infamous dump on the east side of town though i cannot speak for ail the residents of this area i am sure their feelings are in accordance with mine trust- ing the council as in the past will look upon this letter not as a tale told by an idiot signifying nothing but as a citizen who has filled the un forgiving minute with 60
