founder of womens institu tes which now branch all over che world it is believed she lived in this home near st george from 1958 until her marriage in 1881 at that time she moved to stoney creek where she organized the worlds first womens insti tute the homestead as the old home is now known was bou ght by the federated womens institutes of canada in 1959 it has been restored and fur nished with
