caves and views of ship building also the potteries and a good shopping centre a full bus load quickly signed up for the trip mr ralston was mc for the entertainment miss dorothy simmons with miss jean mc lean accompanist delighted with a basket of old fashion ed roses and as an encore smiling through your tears miss janette yateman a very talented youngster was thoroughly enjoyed and en thusiastically applauded for her accordion solos this was miss yatemans first appear ance at the club and it is hop ed to hear her play again miss mclean played classical selec tions prelude and irene collins in windsor in 1925 the couple has lived at 102 poplar st for the past 30 years and had many friends in acton and georgetown he was a faithful member of st josephs church requiem mass was suddenly a wellknown contractor and real estate salesman john ed ward mcmullen of 109 mill st acton died suddenly at his home on monday july 24 he was 53 years of age mr mcmullen was current- i building several new homes on cobble hill road he reno vated many homes in acton and district and was much nought after as a plastenng contractor he took a keen interest in antique cars and participated in parades here with old mod els funeral service was held at the rumleyshoemaker funer al home on wednesday after noon july 26 mr mcmullen was a member of the jehovahs witnesses church mr mcmullen was born in tofield alberta son of the late albert and tamzon mcmullen he was married in georgetown july 19 1939 and his wife jean survives him he attend ed acton public school the family moved 12 years ago from bower ave to their home on mill st surviving mr mcmullen are sons and daughter edward john mcmullen acton david earl mcmullen acton craig arthur mcmullen at home teixv allan
