township hall ss 10 camp- ballville remained open and still la and so did ss 6 at kelso which was a separate school section maintained by its own board of trustees the year broolcville opened its enrolment was 274 in the fall of 1961 it was crowded and the general purpose room had to be turned into a classroom the growing township population necessitated the auditorium being kept in use as a classroom for the next six years in 1964 more rooms were needed and two new general classrooms were opened in 1965 three more classrooms were re quired so the board built a two- room addition and brought in a portable classroom that all the townships first kindergarten was launched the kelso school joined the township system that year too program program for the official open ing of brookville
