elections by mrs f taylor rockwood the regular oct ober meeting of eramosa town ship council was held in the council chambers recently all members of council were pres ent and the reeve presided also in attendance were the road sup erintendent robert hamilton and the clerktreasurer lloyd hind- ley following the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting several items of correspondence were read and discussed by the members the 1967 assessment roll for 1967 taxation was ac cepted as presented there was only one land sev erance presented to council for recommendation to the minister of municipal affairs tor approval it was moved that the reeve clerktreasurer and the road su perintendent be instructed to ap ply to the department of high ways for the interim subsidy payment on road expenditure made up to september 30 1967 the treasurer was instructed to cancer society certificate of merit given to village by mrs f taylor the chairman of the cancer society tor rockwood mrs nb services in many areas a a project of the canadian nat ional institute for the blind which specially interests acton lions club is the lake joseph adjustment training and holiday centre the camp was built by tne cnlb with the help of the ontario government and lions clubs of ontario acton lions have contributed a large donation to the camp the animal campaign for funds la currently underway here hall a special note of thanks to all who so willingly helped in the collection of the much needed funds to make 1967 one of the largest contributions ever re ceived from rockwood make the final payment of 15721 to armstrong bros of brampton or the construction of fall st in rockwood being development road 927 a motion was carried that a bylaw to name times and places for holding nominations and el ections tor reeve deputyreeve councillors and school trustees for the township of eramosa to serve for the year 1968 and 1969 and to name the polling places and appoint deputy returning of ficers and poll clerks be given the necessary readings passed and numbered nominations will be held on saturday november 25 from 1 pm to 2 pm at the rockwood town hall and elections if needed will be held on monday decem ber 4 from 10 am to 7 pm a bylaw was introduced to amend a former bylaw to reg ulate traffic on roads within the township of eramosa subject to the approval of the department of
