former member of the committee of adjustment and the y board and is active in knox presbyterian church on his 14 years on the public school board he has been chairman of all committees and board chairman at various times for the past 10 months he has been the public school hoards m- tom watson with six children five of them at three different levels of education tom watson has good reason to he interested in education he and mrs watson have two children in public school two in high school anil one at sheridan college he has lived in acton all his life with the exception of five years with the rcaf in world war ii and is a restaurant owner he has been 14 years on the public school hoard six as chairman and four on the district high school board two as chairman for the past 10 months he has been high school boards representative on the interim school organization committee this fall he attended a departmifik of fducation seminar whttujie was thoroughly briefed on the direction which it is hoped education in ontario will lake in the future i feel that the amalgamation of the boards into one unit should mean equal educational opportunity for all children whether in rural or utban localities ideally this will mean that every childs potential will be developed to the fullest whatever his natural ability this will be especially beneficial to students needing specialized training
