esquesing farmer charles brooks 90 dies one of hiltons well known senior citizens charles brooks of r r 3 georgetown died at hilton centennial manor on oct 8lust a week before his 91 it birthday mr brooks spent his life farming on the brooks homestead on the fifth line esqueslng where he was bom hit grandfather arthur brooks an irish immigrant had established the farm in 1822 mr brooks had enjoyed good health until a few monthi ago and moved to live at the manor three monthi ago he enjoyed a chat with friends reading watching television gardening and a good cigar seventh in a family of gathering in the county museum in kelso conservation area four of those present agreed to ut as a committee to arrange an executive and formulate suggestions for possible projects sitting on the was known by all could turn his hand to many other odd jobs he was always ready to attend to the repairs at the homes of neighbors and friends after i his own days work was already done he was a member of limehouse presbyterian church where he was on the board of managers for several yean and for many yean served on the cemetery board until his death a kind and loving husband and father he will be missed not only by his family but by all who knew him he it survived by his wife the former caroline standlth daughter mary mrs ralph turner r r 1 limehouse margaret mrs john foster georgetown kathleen mrs calvin macdonald rr i etmwood and dorothy mrs harold hunt briton and was predeceased by sons charles and james kirkpatrick mr harris acted as chairman for the informal meeting in front of don franklin all of acton interment was in fairview cemetery mr emmerson was born june 17 1913 in herron illinois son of the late john george emmerson and isabella wilson he and eleanor lena matsey
