tans ley bridge also the contract for the proposed new bridge over the 16 mile creek which all north mem bers opposed he was strongly in favor of ftood gravel roads and hoped to have- work start on the 7th line in the spring after re viewing the township statement and answering several questions mr standish closed his remarks by wishing all a happy and prosper ous now year j b elliott deputy reeve elect spoke mainly regarding roads and the work on the 2nd line which was done according to instructions of road commissioner wilson i wa mistake he said to allow roads to go too long without re- monies were not properly looked after and the council were lax in passing auditors report he be lieved the assessment of the town ship bhonld be raised also that good gravel roads should be built order that the township might assess lands at norval by his effort through tbe rural iliinieipal association legis lation had been secured to suoh an extent that the township was en abled last year to collect 400 in taxes if reolected be would con tinue to give tbe township his best services james mcdowell complimented tho board of health officers on their splendid work during the year he was a strong believer in good roads and urged that something be done in the near future in regard to a township good roads polioy ho had done his best during the past year and would be a candidate for 1020 counoil fred c thompson stated that i the township was not assessed right and the system ought to be ohangod the north end of the township was not getting its share of improvements if the right sys
