serious injury to eight persons as there were no eye witnesses to the accident and as neither garbutt nor william v anion t driver of the bus an give any definite idea as to how the accident happened its course up to the present is more or less of a mystery as far as con be ascertain ed garbutt was ascending the rise from the south preparatory to taking the slope to the hollow and the bus was badly shocked two other men were hurt oni being a mr carroll of kit chener who received treatment at the hospital and later went to his friends the other receiving medical aid and hurrying to catch a train for chicago for which purpose he had taken the trip to toronto on the bus dr heggic and dr vanderlip went down and rendered first aid calling the brampton ambulance for rcmov ing the injured men to brampton dr sutton and dr mcfadden of cooks villc come up and the port credit ambulance was requisitioned while motorists passing at the time of the accident did everything in their power to assist the injured conveying some of those less badly hurt to the ctty the two motors were badly wreck cd they came together at a right e at the west side of the road tho force of the impact was dera onstrated by the appearance of the front ends of both truck and bus after the accident the engine of the bus one of the largest models waa cut right out of the frame while the en gine of the milk truck was rammed back into the chassis the radiatorb were crumpled the castings and steel work bent and twisted out of all possibility of rqcla motion while the frame of the bus was so badly warped that the passe n gers had to be removed through the windows the doors being jammed tight the cab of the milk truck dick king from immediate death is live topic today king was hurt somewhat seriously cut and bruised but garbutt got off with an abrasion i the leg the appearance of the interior of the bus after the aocident was temfy ing in addition to the furniture and baggage of the passengers
