marshall a county wide search etxending in to the toronto and hamilton areas tor william moore who staged a dar ing escape from the county jail at milton early monday morning has re vealed no trace of the fugitive police stated iwt night moore was to have been tried on four forgery charges at the general sessions on tuesday provincial officer geo cookman milton said that the search jp hal ton county had been slowed down because it was almost a certainty that moore had had sufficient time to leave that area we have been unable to find any trace of him os far officer cookman declared as far as we have been able to ascertain no person noticed the man either while he was escaping or wnlle he v as leaving the county it seems highly probable that he is a long distai ce from milton by now according to police moore made his successful break for freedom at about 3am monday morning by jimmy ing the door of his cell forcing open a door leading into the exercise yard and scaling the jail
