freeman and bran taylor of moffat will com pete lk the walking plow classes grant baker ivan taylor and leonard lis ter will represent the county in the intercounty competition open to 3 boys under 20 years of age theriae list of the halton plow men hasjust been released as an nounced in an earlier issue the match will be held near drumquln on the xajms of messrs picket lister and fuuexjirjd we note that the ladies of the bethel united church are cater ing for the banquet which will be held of the evening of the match namely friday november 3rd we note that those responsible for the drafting of the prize list are endeavouring to en courage larger numbers of local plow men to compete the no handling class which created so much interest last year is this year being confined to thoai who have never previously plowed at a county or township match while the second class in tractors is open only to halton county plowmen while this may result in a slightly smaller number of contestants than the record match of 1938 we feel it is a step in the right direction and along the same lines as those adopted by the local holstein breeders who surprised eteryone including themselves by their record showing at the county fair a week ago music festival in choir numbers should be curtailed the board approved of mdimdual entries but not jjie larger groups hit teachers were to be in 1 ited to
