an illness of a few weeks bom on the beswiok homestead at lot 3 sixth line erin township he was a son of the late george and phoebe beswlck ho spent his lifetime on the old farm until twenty years ago when he came to acton mr and mrs beswlck enjoyed sev eral years of more leisure from the active farm life until mrs beswlck passed away about nine years ago she was before marriage alice van- natter not only was mr beswlck a successful farmer but he took an active interest in church and commun ity while on the farm he attended the methodist church at baulnafad and was for a number of years super intendent of the sunday school up on coming to acton he put his effort into the united church here he was an elder for some years a teacher in the sunday school and always regu lar in- his attendance at all services nthe community he served on 4he school board and lent a willing hand m anything for community betterment he was a fine type of christian gen tlemana man whose word was ab solutely reliable and whose jlrm stand for the right could not be shaken he leaves to revere his memory one son clayton a daughter mrs oeopge cole kitchener and a twin brother george at orangevllle the funeral was held on monday af ternoon from the funeral home of johnstone and rumlfty where service was conducted by his pastor rev g o gif ford friends not only from ac- ton and the district gathered to pay
