200 milk 250 bread 125 clothing 100 drug store 50 cigarettes and candy 125 ooal 150 small purchases 50 hydro 70 church 125 telephone 50 in addition to these necessities there is a water bill of 10 yearly 3 sar dog tax tickets on raffles and draws and the occasional movie shoe repalrsvislts to the optician the dentist the doctor and an occasional trip to the lawyer seeds lor the gar den in addition to mr smiths sslary be recelveaa small pension which helps along the family budget mrt and mrs smith spend their ntoxtey in georgetown and further more they spend it at different stores in georgetown they do not believe in patronizing exclusively any one butcher or any one clothing merchant they try in their own little way to spriwithelrhjuslness among the vari ous merchants like many families they live on cash and credit the merchants do not mind credit cus tomers like the smiths the smiths in turn are careful not to let their credit accounts run too high mrs smith does not buy entirely by price true like all women she keeps her eyes- open for bargains but she trusts to the merchants she deals irtth to give her quality for her money she has one objection to storekeepers in general as regards credit customers she thinks they are too apt to shove off gods of an inferior quality on these customers she has tried budgeting but finds that some unusual expense always crops up which upset the carefully- planned budget figures thus it is impossible to get away from the credit habit this story was unsolicited mrs smith wanted our merchants to know that she is supporting them senior botany class of georgetown sign school on a visit to the botany building at the university of toronto the party made the trip by motor a laboratory with microscopes and materials was placed at rule britannia an enthusiastic audience applauded the georgetown choral so ciety in their annual concert present ed at kndx presbyterian church last night mr w e capps of brampton director of the choir introduced the various selections and made interest ing comment on the composers and the type of music being sung first number on the program was the anvil chorus from the opera n trovatore followed by a bright ozechoslovaklan dance song next came a lovely scotch ballad wv i hundred pipers and the everpopu lar pinlculi pinlcula the womens section of the choir sang the barcarole from the
