qubert seconded by mr robertson mr j b chalmers reeve of acton moved by mr cleave seconded by mr may no further names being given mr wilson moved that the nominations be closed mr blair courteously thanking his mover and seconder asked that his name be withdrawn after reading a clause from the statutes with refer ence to the election of a warden the county clerk then called for an open tote with i think the meeting should no be later than 2 30 if we have it in the afternoon mr may last year there was never much done before 2 30 anyway mr finney the only objection i would have to that plan is that some times the roads arc pretty bad and you wouldnt want to get people up- at night to help you out of a ditch mr wilson it seems like a good idea to me warden it is quite passible thl- plan might work out very well during the summer as most of us are farm ers and sometimes find it hard to ge away mr hillmer well it is just a sug gestion i thought perhaps we might b thinking it over mr cleave then introduced a mat ter that was apparently uppermost in the minds of most of the council said mr cleave there has been much talk and dissatisfaction due to the loss of our good police officers two men as good as we have ever had and i think this council should voice their disapproval about the matter this is no time for reducing our police force i feel the good conduct which has been evident in this county has been greatly to their credit and i think the council should take some part in this matter mr may i trolte agree but i dont know whether we have the authority mr craig i
