garden party a garden party was held on mon day night on thi lawn of mr a c patterson silvercreek service station in connection with the anniversary of limehouse presbyterian church rev h l bennie of knox free- byterian church acton was chairman for the evening and introduced capt the rev r c- creelman bd chap- jain of the toronto irish regiment who delivered a short address mr creeltnan recalled his preach ing at limehouse in 1930 while still a student at knox college and spoke of the fine history of the church which extends back over eighty years it is worthy of note he said that the men leading the democratic nations today are bien of great religi ous convictions it is your duty as young people to keep your church go ing and i hope that many of you will be on hand eighty years from now to attend such a gathering- as this over 1000 churches have been des troyed in england in this war many of which have stood much longer than the eighty years that this building has stood lets keep
