mrs w o mcbowell in the chair after the usual opening ceremonies the members responded to the roll call by naming their favourite flower there were several items of busi ness arising out of the correspon dence and these were dealt with sep arately the choosing of a delegate to the convention to be held at chesley on sept 11th was left in the hands of the president a committee- was named to look af ter an exhibit of war work to be shown at the fair mr h l hutt gave a very inter esting and instructive talk on beau tifying the grounds around the home he also judged several livingroom bouquets which the members had brought to the meeting mrs e r robinson winning the prize the october meeting is to be held at trie home of mrs fred armstrong after a vote of thanks to the hos tess and
