williams unit ed church which took place on sun day september 21st tine united church held its hundred and first anniversary which was celebrated with gay festj- the church was decorated with fruits of all undo and things that are helped to grow with the aid of mankind the altar was artistically draped with autumnal leaves and hung on the ends of the pews were small grain sheaves r tall stalks of corn and leaves of every hue v looked as if they had been sprinkled with dew hi each comer of the church stood i vine and a tall sunflower r the mid of the dayjhey needed a shower by the steps stood john william bessey who predeceas ed her they lived for five years in mount forest later moving to their farm home on the 0th line where she has since resided a member of the georgetown bap- tlst church she was active in the wo men s association of that church for u number of years for the past 15 years she- had been a semiinvalid and unable to participate actively in church affairs she is survived by three daughters mrs h speers meota saskatchewan mrs b morris toronto and mrs dr carl smith kitchener three sons wray at home roy of toron to and harry of stewarttown and six grandchildren she nas prede ceased by three sons prank robert and wilfred the funeral service was conducted by rev e g baxter of thorold for ner pator of the georgetown church aslssted br re j e ostrom ol
