clubs offer to insert che last itarnp in a book of war savings stamps completed by every child in this district georgetown public school pupils have already starthi on this and over two hundred nlldren have begun to all in their booklets the children win be allowed twenty weeks from the start of the plan to complete their book lion arthur beaumont vho is chairman of he district war savings committee has been instructed to advise rural schools in the district of the offer of the club it is expected that theie will be enough money in the salvage fund which no totals about 75 00 to cover cos s of the plan financial setup it was brought to the attention of the members that there were some re 1 ildehts who did not understand the financial setup of the lions olhb all money collected from he public in any way from draws ana raffles entertainment etc is placed in a trust fund which can only be used for public expenses this is entirely separate from the club s general account in which i placed money received from initio ion and membership dues and witch la used to meet expenses not umnectcd with welfare work bringing speaker to meetings etc thus all monev collected from the public is used for the purpose for which it is specified and is nner mixed with the general club funds entertainment it was suggested that instead of bringing in outside speakers members of the club be asked to mike speech es about their varying tines ol bjsl ness each member has something interesting to tell others abou b hi own particular profession and this would be both entertaining and edu cational to the other members this was left in the hands of the program committee which consists of lions a c welk w h long and le roy dae help canadas seaward defence lvi i certificates guitar lessons also
