information iran the brampton police department acting chief of police mervyn robb had an ye for business on monday morning and nabbed harold garfield lawson wanted for robbery with violence by tbe peel county police dawson was wanted for robbing and beating john francis a farm hand of tbe oaledon district on saturday night ana escaping with his 46 roll of mils aj day sunday police and farmers joined in a manhunjfc of the nearby countryside but lawson was not lo cated until monday morning here coming to georgetown on sunday the slyearold youth who said he baled from manitoba rented a room at the meoibbon bouse and spent the night there in the morning he decided to purchase some new clothing b town and did so at silvers dept store checking the hotel register on mon day morning and receiving a better description of the wanted man and bis new clothing acting cblef robb lo cated lawson at hughey mac donalds pool room and placed bin under arrest and taken to the muni cipal building where he was questioned by robb and t o ray mason of ac ton and provincial constable ron hewitt of brampton who happened on the scene lawson was taken to the brampton jail after admitting he was the wanted man he will be- charged with robbery with violence he clubbed me on the head twice said francis a farmhand still dased by the attack i fought him and we kept fighting he threw me into the creek when he thought be had me knocked out but i got out and we started fighting again i wanted to get my money back he threw me into the creek again and was starting away as though he thought i was
