dewhurst jimmy valentine harry hale and andy dewhurst at the conclusion of the entertalnr ment a delicious lunch was served and thcuremalnder of the evening was spent in dancing with joe scott as floor manager and the rhythm rubes supplying the music the evening drew to a close with god save the king many thanks are due to all the en bertainers who were responsible for the success of the evening the joint entertainment committee hope that more of these social gettogethers will soon follow jim wood the captain of the other teams are ross fetch and jim burns cpu g barley and ptb g james arrived in toronto jast wednesday two wounded georgetown soldiers reutrned to canada and were reunit ed with their families last wednesday morning at the union station to ronto opl gordon harley who sustained a broken leg in a motor cycle accident in england and pte cordon james who received head in juries while serving in italy were the men aboard the troop train the welcoming party in toronto included mr and mrs dean harley mrs ray harley mr and mrs art scott and mrs emily james cpl harley was not able to return to his home here for awhile but is at chor ley military hospital toronto his parents report that gordon looks fine and is very cheerful after a fine passage they were treated to the best of everything onhe vain and after three and a half years in england the food really was appreciated cpl harley was in charge of a motorcycle depot in england he has a very high opinion of the english people and the way in which they often dep themselves to make our boys comfort able and happy gord saw and beard plenty of buzz bombs there s one sight in particular he ii never forget however and that was on d day when wave after wave of allied aircraft passing over to prance jpld the sun and darkened the sky as if before a storm gord said hed never have be lieved there were so many planes in the world r la expected that cpl harley wul be in charley park hospital for a couple of months he has three bro thers in the army ray at camp borden bruce in italy and brock m prance pte gordon james is feeling fairly well except for his ear injuries which he received in action in italy on apr 3rd of this year he has been over seas since june 1943- and will be home on a 30 day leave before reporting to md 2 when he wlh undergo an ear operation while in italy he saw chuck laws prank loruso and johnnie graham gord was wound ed just before the drive on casslno he was in hospital from april to june in italy and then evacuated to ehg land where he was in hospital for another three
