flavoured with excellent weather georgetowns 102nd fall fair almost evened tlie record attendance of the 1946 centennial flair and surpassed even this show with a record num ber of entries in most causes two ughliglru marked the success of saturday flair the wonderful horse show staged in front of the grand stand and the hsx exhibit which probably had the largest entry of any previous fair from early rriday morning nntu afternoon the fair board were mped with entries coming into the hall the ladies work section was filled to overfowing and ade quate space was unavailable to dis play ail the various items many local ladies tool pride in displaying their culinary art and aa a result one urge table across the hall groaned with the delicious edibles which found ready sale at the close of the show the hoclure home furnishings asocial for the best col lection of baking went to mrs char- tar deforeet with mrs e b ty co as runner up receiving th societys cash prize always a treat for fairgoers was the grand display of childrens work from both the local and rural pub lic schools it is doubtful if any fair in the province has a better display of this work and the boys and girls of esqueaittg deserve much credit along this line as well as their teachers who give liberally of their time to make the arrange ments at the hall outstanding too was the exhibit of the nine local institute branches audi the junior institute display to round out a hall display was the norval junior farmer grain show the flowers and vegetables and the exhibit of the oac on 24d the arts and ctaf
