two members of council have stated that they do not favour going ahead with any building plans without a vote of the people the expenditure of 180000 of which georgetown taxpayers woukj shoulder about one hundred thousand is a considerable item in the budget of a town which already has a de denture debt around the half million mark it is our opinion that any matter involving a large expenditure shoud be pur to a vote excepting those things of such a serious nature that any delay would endanger public health a new school important as it is does not come in this category hence it shoud be voted op at the same time council if a majority of council members think it is essential should be prepared to back the school board to the limit and publicly declare them- selves as favouring the
