was formed at a dinner meeting at the milton inn on monday known as the hal ton county tuberculosis and stealth association it win expand the work inaugurated a few years ago by oakville lions club ontario tuberculosis association gave an informal talk at the meeting outlining the wbrk which the new organization could do there have been great strides in work with the disease since for mation of the canadian association in 1900 up to this time there had been no efficient treatment for tb and the association busied itself with promoting hospitalization of cases since that time fourteen sanqtoriums have been built and eleven of these are maintained by voluntary organizations treatment for patients is free the patient con tributing whatever he wishes to wards his treatment he stressed the fact that a vol untary organization augments the work of the official agency whicn in tnis county is the health unit it is the health units job to control and treat tb but a voluntary or ganization can materially assist in locating cases the organization has- a great field in education there art many peo ple who do not know tb is contag ious said mr oreilly or who do not know that
