royal city koui a barber shop quartette from guelph who numbered keith dolson among their members pianist alf sutton and a pair of scottish comedians who replaced clare house the mus ical vagabond georgetown girls pipe band were also featured in the show visiting saying that his father was ill in hospital he is anxiously awaiting further word mr crabtree left town three and a half months ago for a visit with his two daughters overseas he had just recently arrived in london af- ter staying with mrs james marsh in oldham lanes the nay after receiving the sad news ivan recei ved a letter from his father written the previous week in which he told of the good time he was having and of his prospective visit to london james arthur crabtree who was in his 71st year was born in rock dale lanes and was a son of the late mr and mrs young crabtree he started his lifelong career in the paper trade with the firm of smith mclaren in scotland coming to canada in 1911 he worked for ritchie ramsay in new toronto then in 1914 he went to valleyfleld quebec with valley- field coated paper when fire des troyed this mill in 1938 key per sonnel were transferred to provin cial paper ltd in georgetown and mr crabtee took a position here as head colouy man he retained this until his retirement last march when his son ivan succeeded him his wife mary dearden whom lie married in england morning mr williamson was born in nas- sagaweya township 74 years ago the son of the late david william son and elizabeth wilds he farm ed in nassagaweya until moving to acton where he was a wood dealer for several years he was a mem ber of the united church twice married mr williamsons first wife teresa price died on oc tober 28th 1918 he is survived by his wife berniece price and an only son david james williamson who farms at silvercreek one bro ther fred lives at streetsville and a sister mrs albert young in ac ton rev a o w foreman and rev w g luxton officiated at the fun eral service on monday at the rumlcy funeral home acton which was followedby interment in fair- view cemetery acton pallbearers were fred anderson george rit chie bob winton james gilmour william roszell and ted
