four of the major dairy breeds were out in goodly numbers and in- general the quiility was high owing to the busy season halton was represented in only holsteins and guernseys in he latter breed joyce bros of milton sent down their junior herd sire fraserdale merry admiral which won the junior yearling class and went on to the reserve junior cham plonship in the holstein show however a total of 38 head of halton black and whites representing 14 lifer ent halton herds were in competi tion notwithstanding the fact that eleven of the fourteen halton bree ders were showing at the cfle for the first time they made an excel lent showing herds represented were those of r c alexander t j brownridge son a m brain sn f o hunter thos mcgee of esquesing township arthur art- ridge howard gowland f l reg ister son and j f trimble of trafalgar twp and blanshard bros a g hunter ross segsworth a m sherwood and gordon r sin clair of nelson township in the junior bull calf class the entry of ross segsworth was sec ond the senior bull calf class brought together twentyfive en- trios and here f o hunter was third a g hunter sixth ross segsworth was 7th f c rogister son were sixth in the junior yearling bull class and in the class for senior yearling bulls a m brain son were second their son of glenafton futurity later went on to the reserve junior cham pionship for males the two year old entry of a m sherwood placed second to j m erasers spring farm fond hope which bull was later made senior and grand champion male of the show in the class of nine 3 year old bulls blanshard bros was fifth while
